Jaw R.E.S.E.T (Jaw Balancing)
R.E.S.E.T. stands for Rafferty Energy System of Easing the Temporomandibular joint and is an alternative therapy/healing technique that involves pressing gently on specific areas of the face for the purpose of relaxation and overal healing in the body. RESET was first researched and developed by Philip Raffertya, a Kinesiologist based in Melbourne Australia.
The technique was originally formed as a part of the Kinergetics series of workshops which combined healing energy with Kinesiology (also known as muscle testing). The results of this simple technique were so powerful and consistent that it was taken out of the Kinergetics series in order to be simplified and used on it's own.
The R.E.S.E.T jaw balance technique is a simple but very powerful technique that is extremely relaxing and safe. It can be an effective method to relieve jaw, head, neck, back and shoulder problems and many other concerns within the body.
The tempormandibular joint (T.M.J) is a point that is located within the jaw. If this joint is in any way out of balance then symptoms of pain or dysfunction may appear in this region as well as in many other areas of the body unrelated to the face and jaw itself.
Energy healing techniques, such as the Jaw RESET benefit by relieving stress and tension in this area which allows the releasing of any energetic blocks and promoting relaxation, since this is the area where stress and tension is usually found.
The gentle pressing of specific areas of the face is similar to the energetic healing technique used in reiki, but the focus is in relaxing the jaw muscles which allow the Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) to be correctly reset.
Jaw muscles tend to hold high levels of tension and stress which can often be the cause of many common complaints such as tension or discomfort in the jaw iteself, migraine headaches, sinus problems, hormone imbalances, digestion and stomach issues, spinal imbalances, improper posture, and even mental stress and problems with memory and learning.
Over 80% of the electrical messages sent from the brain to the muscles and back to the brain are actually affected by the TMJ. Even a slight imbalance of the jaw muscles may cause the electrical messages to the other muscles within the body to become confused, causing the discomfort that many experience within these various other regions of the body.R.E.S.E.T utilizes the link between the jaw and the body by balancing the connection between the two physically and on an energetic level.
The effects of consistant R.E.S.E.T therapy can help to relieve many chronic complaints in the body. Empirical Kinesiology testing has shown that relaxing the jaw can also relax 90% of the muscles in the entire body. One way in which the R.E.S.E.T jaw balancing technique assists is in the releasing of tension in the jaw and also by re-aligning the tempormandibular joint in the face.
Re-aligning/balancing this particular joint helps the muscles in the rest of the body relax. As the muscles relax, stress and even toxins are released from the organs and glands that are related to these muscles which then helps to restore the natural balance of the body, while also aiding to bring an overall sense of harmony and relaxation to the recipient.
In general this also helps to restore harmony and balance to the whole body. RESET can also help hydration by improving the assimilation and utilization of water within the body helping to promote and enhances the body's natural ability to heal itself.
